GFA Wind Ensemble/Jazz Band: 1st Trumpet (2009-2012)

GFA's main wind ensemble in which I played first trumpet and take improvised and written solos at every concert. Meets four days a week for fifty minutes.

GFA Jazz Combo: Trumpet/Flugel Horn

A small jazz combo consisting of piano, bass, drums, guitar and trumpet. GFA's highest ranked ensemble. This ensemble has workshopped with the Julliard AD Jazz Combo and opened for them at the Pequot Library for the opening of their art season. 

Skidmore Jazz Institute Combo: Trumpet (Summer, 2010/2011)

This small combo rehearsed six hours a day for two weeks at the Skidmore Summer Jazz Institute 2010/2011. My combo in 2010 consisted of bass, piano, drums, alto sax and trumpet, and in 2011 it consisted of bass, piano, drums, guitar, tenor and baritone saxophone and trumpet. While there, I took private lessons with Bobby Shew and John LaBarbera. Also, our combo rehearsed under the direction of Pat LaBabera, Curtis Fuller, Todd Coolman, Dennis Mackrel, and many more. 

Western Regional High School Jazz Band: 1st Trumpet (2011)

An audition only ensemble that takes students from all of western connecticut and places them in one band which rehearses and plays a concert for one weekend. 

Western Regional High School Jazz Band: 2nd Trumpet (2012)

An audition only ensemble that takes students from all of western connecticut and places them in one band which rehearses and plays a concert for one weekend. 

GFA Into the Woods Pit Orchestra: 1st Trumpet (2011)

This small pit orchestra, consisting of four students and four professional musicians, played Sonheim's Into the Woods for the GFA Musical in 2011. 

GFA Pajama Game Pit Orchestra: 2nd Trumpet (2011)

A larger pit orchestra, consisting of six professional musicians and four students played Pajama Game for the GFA Musical in fall of 2011 at the Westport Country Playhouse.

Jon Bauerfeld Jazz Combo: Piano

A small jazz combo consisting of piano, bass, drums, trombone, flute, clarinet and saxophone (alto and tenor) which I started at the beginning of the 2010-2011 school year. This ensemble has workshopped with the Julliard AD Jazz Combo.
