Jonathan Bauerfeld is a Manhattan based musical theater composer, orchestrator, music director, and copyist with a BM in composition from Northwestern University's Bienen School of Music. He is a proud member of the BMI musical theater workshop.

At Northwestern University, Bauerfeld was a head writer for both Northwestern's 2015 and 2016 Waa-Mu Shows, and Co-Music Director and conductor of Northwestern's 2016 Dolphin Show, GYPSY. He was the recipient of the Craig Carnelia Song Writing Award for his work on the 2015 WAA-MU show, GOLD, and the recipient of the John and Marietta Paynter Award for the Creation of Music for his work on the 2016 WAA-MU show, ANOTHER WAY WEST. He has also scored several student films at NU, including the 2015 Applause For A Cause film, IMOGEN. In the composition department, he studied with Jay Alan Yim, Hans Thomalla, and the late Lee Hyla.
